Minecraft - Pocket Edition gets creepers, beds, chests, and Easy mode in update
Updated on Android and iOSsssssss *BOOM*
Minecraft - Pocket Edition has received a bumper update on iOS and Android. In version 0.4.0 of its block-building game, Mojang has added things like creepers, beds, farming, food, and a few dozen bug fixes.
There's some new stuff to decorate your house, including beds, which let you skip to the morning; chests, which let you stash inventory items; explosive TNT crates; and trapdoors.
You can now do a spot of farming, too, thanks to wheat, seeds, and the hoe tool. You can also grab some apples and cook animals to make food. You can eat any of this food to restore some of your health.
Spawn of the DevilBest of all, though: creepers, the iconic self-detonating critters of the Minecraft universe, will now spawn at night.
There's also a new Peaceful mode, where your health restores automatically and there are no monsters trying to kill you every time the sun goes down. Mojang has also limited the total number of any given monster type in the Normal mode.
This update to Minecraft - Pocket Edition is now available on the App Store and Google Play. "It may take some time to propagate," Mojang's Daniel Kaplan says, mind.
