MechRunner will charge onto Vita this summer with sword-wielding mechs

MechRunner is for all of you Vita players who felt left out when the Transformers: Age of Extinction movie tie-in combat runner was announced for iOS and Android only.

Who needs those Transformers anyway? MechRunner has all the sword-wielding mechs you should ever need.

It concerns a mech pilot named Allison, who built a 40-foot mech with her rogue scientist uncle. This wasn't a backyard hobby, mind: the two of them built this mech so that they could fight the robot army that terrorises their world.

Allison's XP-41 mech has the ability to transform from a robot into a tank. The robot earns you more energy (spent on upgrades) if you use the sword, though it also comes with guns.

The tank is for keeping your distance as you blast cannons and missiles at your metallic foe.

You'll need to transform between both modes to deal with the diverse enemies as you charge through the procedurally generated levels.

Along the way, you'll rescue civilians, earn upgrades, gain achievements, and fight bosses.

MechRunner will be heading to Vita this summer. You can find out more information about it on its website.
