I'm someone who absolutely loves mobile gacha games, and when I am lucky enough to dive into a gacha that is both fun and F2P-friendly, I cannot ask for more. Today I present you a complete Maiden Academy guide so you can always have an easy time. Regardless of how you decide to play, have fun!

I have been on it for a while and have tried a new server too, and no matter where you want to play, it's equally good. Maiden Academy is extremely F2P-friendly, it is super generous with the gacha, and if you leave your device on for some time, you can even progress without doing anything (not even clicking a button). As someone who is extremely busy, I absolutely love that feature.

Below I've shared a bunch of tips and tricks to help you get a better understanding of the game and what you should do, so this guide is mostly dedicated to complete beginners. If you've been playing for a while, you're welcome too, but chances are you're probably familiar with most of the things I've shared.

F2P friendly, but you can also be P2W

If you don't feel like spending a dime, you don't have to. However, if you want to buy something and spend at most $5, there's a viable option for you as well. You can charge any amount you want and you'll get an SSR hero (as the first recharge reward).

Aside from that, you will get a lot of summoning tickets and Diamonds, so if you feel like spending money is not for you, then by all means, you don't have to.

I've heard of players reaching top 10 and top 15 in the servers without spending money - those people did spend a lot of time, and they were pretty lucky too. They made the right decisions in regard to their resource management though, so if that's what you're after, I am here to deliver.

Let's dive right into the Maiden Academy guide!

Tip #1 - Multitask!

story mode capped

In Maiden Academy, the best part about adventure mode is that you can have it running in the background and still go about completing your dailies elsewhere. You should always try to progress in the adventure mode as much as you can, and then move on to another tab (like dungeon for example), and compete there as well.

You will be able to complete multiple instances at once, so if you want to quickly progress, this is the best way to go about it. You can always switch between tabs and even upgrade your heroes while you're battling. I recommend doing this if your goal is to reach the top among the best-ranking players on your server.

Tip #2 - Upgrade your best heroes

We've already discussed the best heroes in our Maiden Academy tier list, so the next thing you need to be mindful of is upgrading the heroes that rank well. Your main focus should always be getting multiple dupes of your heroes. Those will be used to star them up, which is essential in progressing.

What you need to do early on is focus on summoning in the Advance summon. That will give you several dupes hopefully, and it will also give you some good heroes. Next, you need to try out a few different comps. You want to deploy the heroes that deal good damage, can survive, and can help you clear the stages easily.

The best comp you can play around early on can have something like at least 2 warriors and 2 supports. You can also go for 2 warriors, 2 supports and 1 tank. You can level up multiple heroes and try them out, and that's what I recommend you do. If a hero no longer fulfils their duty, you can go ahead and reset them, and upgrade another. If you know from the get-go which ones you want to upgrade, I suggest you invest all of your resources in that hero.

Tip #3 - Check the shops and buy all you need

There are multiple shops in Maiden Academy, and spending your hard-earned currency on some of the best items you can is what I recommend. Try to buy the following items from each of the shops, whenever you can:

  • Advanced Summon Scrolls (from Item Shop)
  • Advanced Stone (from Item Shop)
  • Zheng Lina Fragments (from Decompose Shop)
  • Talumexus Fragments (from Decompose Shop)
  • Advanced Summon Scrolls (from Guild Shop)
  • Holy Book (from Guild Shop)

You can find the shop if you go to the Town> bottom right wheel> Market. For the rest of the items, you should buy them ONLY if you need them momentarily; otherwise, it's best you save your resources for the late game. Now that you know from the normal shop what your priorities should be, let's move on to the Battlefield Shop.

You can find this shop if you head over to the Competition> Champion League> Arena Shop. From here, you can look into buying the following:

  • Katherine/Nosa/Brand Fragments - depending on which one you have as DPS (from Competition shop)
  • Magic Dragon Crystal (from Sky Ladder shop)
  • Yuzhi Wang Fragments - if you build a Dark team (from Sky Ladder shop)
  • Ouros Fragments - if you build a Light team (from Sky Ladder shop)
  • Rune Essence (from Sky Ladder shop)
  • Utopian Pen (from Crystal Exchange shop)
  • Dragon's Treasure (from Demon King shop)
  • Oraham Fragments - if you build a Dark team (from Team PvP shop)
  • Avalon Fragments - if you build a Light team (from Team PvP shop)
  • Honour Elite Chest (from Team PvP shop)

Tip #4 - Do your best to complete all events daily

new server event summon in maiden academy

There are a myriad of events, and it's tough to keep track of all of them. When I first started playing, it was a tad overwhelming, but trust me when I say that on day 2 of playing the game, things will feel much better. You should always try to take part and complete as many events as you can. You need to also pay attention to the timer for each event, and decide whether or not it's worth investing Diamonds in trying to reach the final reward.

If you are late for an event, sometimes it might be easier to just avoid spending your Diamonds on it. Unless you're lucky, of course. Either way, you should try to check every single event and max it out daily. Start from your daily quests and dungeons, progress in the adventure mode, and of course, pay attention to all the time-limited events that appear with a new server launch. Those are usually the best since they give you tons of goods.

Tip #5 - Don't forget to check your inventory

fragments in inventory in the warehouse

The inventory - or rather, your Warehouse - is located in the Town> right side wheel> Warehouse. You should check for what you have available, because most of the items you get from events and as rewards will be stored there. That includes the hero fragments.

You can check the Fragment tab and see if you can get some additional heroes. Also, don't forget to open all the boxes you have in the Item tab, because some of these boxes can give you lots of resources and even great equipment for your heroes.

Tip #6 - Hero Bond can help boost your team's power

list of summoned heroes

Hero Bond is the connection between 2 or more heroes. When you have collected all the heroes that form a specific bond, you will be able to activate it. However, the best thing about the Hero Bond is that you don't have to deploy all the heroes forming that bond on the field. You can also deploy up to 5 heroes in the Hero Bond menu, which will help you unlock that bond.

Depending on which team you play, you can form various bonds - I recommend you also take this into consideration when deploying heroes, because the bond can grant you a pretty big CP increase. Personally, I suggest you go for either a Light team or a Dark team and try to form the bonds that are relevant to them.

Tip #7 - More tips & tricks

divination hero selection in the maiden academy

Here are some additional tips to help you better your game!

  • You can transform a hero from one faction into another if you head over to Summon> Destiny> Transform.
  • Try to get at least 1 copy of each hero so you can unlock all the Hero Bonds.
  • Complete Witch Forest every day, and do the maximum number of tries available.
  • Don't dismantle your SR heroes. Use them to upgrade your main heroes.
  • Try different team formations - depending on which content you're clearing, you should also change the formation.
  • Dismantle the R heroes that are of no use, when your Hero storage is full. You can do this in Hero> Soul> Dismantling> Select the heroes you want to dismantle.
  • Join a guild and complete all the quests and challenges you can.
  • Only pick the heroes you need in Divination. Select the ones you like the most in the Admire window.
