Identity V's latest season takes players on a snow covered island to take part in winter sports
What happens when you mix thrilling winter sports and a horror game together? You get Identity V’s new season. NetEase’s 1v4 asymmetrical battler begins a new season set in the bitter cold on a snowclad island, with winter sports at its core. Players can expect to obtain new themed costumes, other items, and enjoy the snow while the summer slowly sets in the real world.
Identity V’s new season is celebrating winter sports in celebration of this year’s Winter Olympics in Beijing. NetEase hopes to bring the charm of the icy cold weather that the athletes are experiencing into the game, where players will go on a chilling journey. Check out the trailer below.
Luckily, no one playing on mobile needs to have that Olympic level skill. Players can simply participate in all the snowy events without fear. Kicking things off is speed skating, which is a race on ice skates. Identity V’s champion skater in Forward, and like this name suggests, he always finishes faster than the others. The future star of speed skating, Forward is ready to give everyone on the rink a tough time.
Moving onto a more graceful event, players can take part in figure skating, where they must impress people by dancing elegantly and with poise on ice. Perfumer is the queen here because when she dons her silver dress and spins, jumps, and flies on the ice, everyone is enchanted by her grace. Another must-have for any event is a mascot. The Breaking Wheel has everyone covered for that as he shows up with his overcoat, top hat, throwing around snowballs decked with baby carrots and emoji-like expressions. He probably does look a bit creepy doing that but players are guaranteed to want to build their own snowman looking at the Breaking Wheel.
