Coloured bubble-bursting

Japanese developer CGlue is quickly garnering an honourable reputation among western gamers with its simplistic, well-presented puzzle games. The latest addition to its iPhone catalogue is another Bejeweled clone, but an intriguing one.

iAqua differentiates itself from the typical match-three gameplay by requiring you to add an extra object (in this case, a coloured drop of water, or an 'Aqua') to the line up. As expected, creating a horizontal or vertical row of four objects pops the bubbles, but in iAqua you can also arrange them in a square to remove them from the game board.

There's a free trial version available on the App Store in case you like to try before you buy, and we've included a gameplay video below for convenience.

You're very welcome.

Spanner Spencer
Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
