We take a break from our ongoing coverage of all the major announcements and trailers over at Gamescom Opening Night Live with something more relaxed and cuter. Yes, it's the fun of the Sanrio mascots as Hello Kitty Island Adventure takes you back to school with the new Scholastic Celebration.
As you might expect, the Scholastic Celebration (August 24th) marks the back-to-school period for the majority of students. But while they have to trudge back to their institutes of learning, the Sanrio characters are instead enjoying all manner of sporty activity while sporting snazzy academic-inspired costumes.
Of course, if you'd prefer to enjoy something a little broader in appeal, there's always the Jam Jamboree. Arriving September 12th, there's a baker's dozen worth of minigames, sweet surprises, berry-inspired rewards and of course, new outfits to dress up your favourite mascots in.

Of course, it's not just all platforms getting new events, as while those of you on Apple Arcade can enjoy all these great events, there's also a major new content update. Arriving on September 12th, too, version 2.8 or Sea of Wonder comes furnished with plenty of high-seas adventure for the end of summer.Head out on fishing quests with Badtz-maru, or try out new fishing lures as you compete in the fabulous Fishing Derby with seasonal items on offer. Mice, chipmunks, hamsters and others debut with the Rodent species, and new seasonal Visitors to Friendship Island debut with the OTM Girls.
