Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a card-based RPG for iOS and Android
Now available for pre-registration in China

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is an upcoming card-based RPG from Warner Bros. and NetEase. It's now up for pre-registration in China, and it's being published under Warner Bros.' 'Portkey Games' brand. The announcement was first spotted by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad.
According to the official press release, the game's story begins a few years after the Second Wizarding World War. Players will receive a letter of acceptance from Hogwarts itself, and, starting out as a freshman, you'll go on an extraordinary wizarding journey.
You'll be able to learn new spells, assemble a friendly team of companions, and, together, use your newfound magical talents to conjure inventive strategies and spell combinations.Chinese games company NetEase is working with Warner Bros. to develop and launch Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, a card/RPG game for iOS and Android. Several high-profile card games have struggled to gain footing in the now-saturated market. Even the Harry Potter brand itself doesn't guarantee tremendous success or long-term popularity – just look at Wizards Unite.

There's currently no word on if/when we can expect Harry Potter: Magic Awakened to head westward. The game's now up for pre-registration in China for both iOS and Android, though, again, there's no solid release date.
