For fans of Goddess of Victory: Nikke, one thing has always held it back: the fact that it's 2D. But now, that's all set to change as in 2036 you can expect the arrival of Nikke World 2.0, a brand-new 3D experience taking you to the Surface, with base-building, survival and an all-new Doro pet system!

And if you don't already have alerts set up on your phone, then you should check your calendar now. Yes, this is an April Fool's joke, unfortunately. But one done with the surprising panache that Level Infinite tends to reserve for this date.

Fortunately, although we (probably) won't be seeing Nikke World anytime soon, we will be seeing some actual events this April Fool's Day. Jump into the Simulation Room until April 2nd to take on a new limited-time minigame featuring Syuen, Shifty and Mecha Shifty.

Not only that, but Mecha-Shifty will also be taking over duties at the content shop until the 4th, and offering both exclusive event items and even 100% discounts on some stuff. Meanwhile, new limited-time quests will also run until the 4th, featuring Mega Shift vs Mega Mechami Shift. All of this is themed around the fictional upcoming 'spinoff'.

I've often thought that the worst April Fools jokes are for stuff you wish were actually real. And I've no doubt many of you got excited hearing about a full 3D spinoff of Nikke. But, for better or for worse, this kind of bait-and-switch at least comes with a bunch of exciting new events to soothe the pain.
