Glyph decoded for the iPhone

Dig for jewels to reveal the truth

Glyph decoded for the iPhone

Coming from the master of the puzzle game, Astraware, it's no surprise that Glyph looks as fancy as it plays. On the surface it appears to be a beautifully presented clone of the 'bubble pop' style puzzle game, but with a variety of layers to make it a much deeper experience.

"We are thrilled to partner with Handmark to bring Glyph to iPhone and iPod touch," said Daniel Bernstein, president and CEO of Sandlot Games. "Glyph represents the first game in our initiative to bring all our best-selling titles to this revolutionary new platform."

Touching a collection of jewels eliminates similarly coloured ones in contact with each other, but rather than clearing the screen as is normal in this type of game, the objective is to uncover the 'glyph' beneath the surface.

With over 200 levels and an in-game power-up system to keep the action white hot, Glyph looks like quite the bargain for a budget price title. Spawned from the PC and smartphone game of the same name, the iPhone adaptation promises flash graphics and the atmospheric soundtrack to put you in the mood for rune magic.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
