Garden Tails: Match and Grow, a brand new match-3 puzzler with customisation elements, launches onto Apple Arcade

Courtesy of the legendary Zynga Games and developer Playdots Inc., a brand new match-3 puzzler by the name of Garden Tails: Match and Grow has been released onto Apple Arcade. This cute little puzzle game sees you growing a garden full of adorable animal companions as you match-3 your way through various levels, restoring fields of flowers and creating your own slice of heaven.

The biggest portion of Garden Tails will be spent restoring decrepit pieces of land that have fallen apart due to neglect. They’ll be grey, lifeless, and lacking in spirit until you tackle them yourself, where you’ll then fill them back up with beautiful flowers and plants as well as those fluffy little critters.

Those critters play a bigger part too, as they actually speak! They’ll become close friends of yours as you converse with them and assist them in the various tasks they’ll assign you. Of course, all of these tasks will essentially be to tackle a bunch of match-3 levels, where you’ll have to meet a score requirement to succeed. If you can do so, you’ll not only restore your beautiful garden, but also make all your friends happy.

Another part of the game will be collecting all of the plants, flowers, and endemic life you can find. There’s a massive checklist, ranging from baby deer to bunnies all the way to roses, sunflowers, and even butterflies! This is all wrapped up in an adorable-looking package with an animated art style that really just warms your heart.

If you’d like to check it out yourself, you can do so within the Apple Arcade. As is typically the case, there's no word yet on if the game will launch for regular App Store users, but it may find its way to the normal storefront after it settles into the Arcade first.
