PikPok to donate half of all Flick Kick Rugby profits to Christchurch earthquake victims

In response to the recent Christchurch earthquakes that have devastated New Zealand, PikPok has announced that it will be donating half of all profits from the game Flick Kick Rugby to the New Zealand Red Cross to help victims of the natural disaster.

The initial earthquake hit New Zealand’s South Island at around 4.35am local time on September 4th, 19 miles west of the city of Christchurch.

The earthquake reached 7.0 on the Richter scale, with aftershocks ranging from 5.1 and 7.2. Damage caused by the earthquake is estimated at $4 billion.

PikPok's Jos Ruffell had this to say: “Rugby is New Zealand’s national sport and we felt this could be a great way to help the many people that have lost their homes, businesses and cherished memories in the recent quakes.

"As a New Zealand studio, we have many friends that have been affected and we hope we can provide support thorough our games.”

Flick Kick Rugby - a flicking game along the lines of the excellent Flick Kick Football - is available in the App Store for 59p. PikPok will make the donation on October 11th, so any purchases between now and then will go towards the appeal.

Alternatively, you can donate directly at www.redcross.org.nz.
