Flick Baseball Pro steps up to the iPhone mound

Freeverse, publisher of quality sports games such as NBA Hotshot, Flick Bowling and Flick Fishing, has stepped up to the plate and smashed its new title Flick Baseball Pro into the App Store.

Flick Baseball Pro features 34 teams, the option for a full 165-game season play, a quick Exhibition mode, varying match lengths from three to nine innings, and two difficulty levels.

The controls take advantage of the iPhone’s accelerometer for aiming both the pitching and hitting, and full player stats mean that even if you do miss or throw an accidental walk, you can always blame it on your shortstop’s poor form with the bat, rather than your own inadequacies.

Make your world

Without official licences (expensive don't you know?) all the teams, strips and faces can be customised, so those who find the prospect of playing as the 'New York Gothams' to be sacrilegious can easily change the name to something more suitable, like the ‘New York New Yorks’. (He's English. He doesn't understand about the Knicks - Ed.)

Online leaderboards and unlockable awards come via Plus+ while Freeverse's Postman virtual postcard app is also integrated for creating a viral buzz.

Flick Baseball Pro is out now on the App Store priced £1.79, $2.99, €2.39.

There will also be a cutdown Chevrolet-sponsored free version in the form of Chevy Baseball arriving later in May.
