Beginner's guide to Farlight 84 will cover all the basics of the game, teaching you essential tips and tricks that you must know as a beginner to win battles more easily.

Farlight 84 was in beta for quite a long time, and it has finally been released globally and has grown quite popular. It's undoubtedly a fantastic battle royale, much better than CoD Mobile or even PUBG Mobile, in my opinion. Since Apex Mobile has recently shut down, a huge wave of mobile gamers are moving to this new multiplayer shooter.

Farlight 84's core mechanics is the same as any other battle royale. Your squad of four players tries to be the last teaming standing. A total of 15 teams start on an island before trying to take each other down. Farlight 84 is set in an apocalyptic near-future, making it different from other battle royale games like CoD and PUBG Mobile.

Your heroes have a jetpack, which you can use to fly and dash around the battlefield. There are also 14 heroes, each with unique abilities you can choose from and jump into the battlefield. But that’s enough discussion bout the game more broadly. Let's jump into our Farlight 84 beginner's guide and discuss some essential tips and tricks.

Tip #1 - Choosing the right Heroes

Phantom character in Farlight 84

Farlight 84 is like Apex Legends Mobile when it comes to characters. There are currently a total of 14 heroes, each with unique abilities. Each hero has three special skills - ultimate, tactical and passive. The heroes are also categorised by various roles: Attack, Defense, Scout and Support.

Before jumping into the action, each squad member must select a hero. Remember, your squad should be balanced by including heroes with different roles. If your team is new, you can simply take one of each role. This way, you will have a balanced squad that’s equally good at scouting, attacking, and even defending when required.

As for what hero you should choose, that entirely depends on your preferred playstyle. If you like to play aggressively, go for an attacker or scout hero. If you want to rush and engage in fights, choose heroes like Phantom or Maggie. And if you like to play defensive, choose heroes like Ducksyde. Playing as support isn't much fun, but having a support hero in your team is really helpful. Momoi is a good choice if you’re going down the support route.

Tip #2 - Choosing Guns

As a beginner, Farlight 84 feels quite complicated as there are so many heroes, vehicles and weapons. But after playing for a while, you will find heroes that you click with, and it's the same with the guns.

The game’s health mechanics are similar to CoD Mobile or Apex Legends the heroes have 100 HP, and over that, they have shields. Unlike PUBG Mobile, here you can't really one-shot kill an enemy even if you land a headshot (unless it's the early game and they have no shields), making snipers and shotguns useless in most scenarios. So if you are a beginner, I highly recommend sticking to SMGs and Assault Rifles.

There are five SMGs and seven Assault Rifles available. I recommend using the Generator, M4, and Jupiter-6 when it comes to rifles and the White Dwarf, UMP99, and Mad Rabbit if you’d prefer an SMG, as they are easy to use, have good stats, and the recoil control is pretty easy. However, if you have played a lot of shooters, you can also try burst weapons, as they have good damage but require good accuracy.

Tip #3 - Play Aggressive

If you are coming from PUBG Mobile, you will find Farlight 84 quite tricky. It's fast-paced and favours offensive players. It's best to play aggressively, as the heroes have abilities that can easily scout enemies even if they are camping inside a building. Furthermore, each player has a jetpack so enemies can come from anywhere. You should always be on the move.

Tip #4 - Learn to use the Jetpack

Flying with Jetpack in Farlight 84

In Farlight 84, the jetpack is the most important tool. You can use it for dashing and flying. The dash can be used twice back-to-back in any direction, while the flight option can be used once before triggering a cooldown. When caught in the open, you can simply use your dashes/fly to get into the cover. You can use the jetpack to chase enemies or even enter a building from the rooftop or window using the jetpack to surprise them.

Tip #5 - Learn hero abilities and use them

I have been playing Farlight 84 for a week now and have reached Grandmaster rank, and I am shocked to see that even players at this rank are holding onto their abilities. Use your abilities as and when required. It can easily help you win more battles. And you will get them back after a cooldown.

Also, if you are new to the game, make sure you know all three of your hero’s abilities so that you can use them to their full potential. It's also best to know other heroes' abilities, so you can easily counter them during battles, but that all comes with time.

With this, we come to the end of our Farlight 84 beginner's guide. Hope these tips and tricks will come to your use and help you win more battles. We will soon cover other guide articles on the game. Stay tuned.
