Dungeon Hiker takes you on a trek through the depths of a dungeon on iOS
Get your steps in

- Dungeon Hiker is available to purchase now on iOS
- Explore a dense dungeon and try to reach the surface
- Manage not just your HP, but your hunger, thirst and fatigue
If you've ever played Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder or the like, then you might have had a few dungeon crawls under your belt. Trekking through forgotten crypts and caves can be unnerving at the best of times. And in Dungeon Hiker, the worst part is that you're all alone in your quest.
Available to buy now on iOS, Dungeon Hiker is a simple, low-poly take on the dungeon-crawling format. The main twist is that, rather than going deeper, you're trekking from the lowest level of the dungeon to the top. Using a first-person perspective, you'll have to navigate the labyrinthine tunnels to try and make good your escape.
Most notably, like genre definer Ultima: Underworld, Dungeon Hiker also includes a number of stats to keep an eye on beyond HP. Dealing with monsters is difficult enough, but you'll also have to watch your thirst, hunger, fatigue and even temperature as you explore.
Take a hike
While the mechanics and setup may be tedious to some, I've no doubt that some of you are probably chomping at the bit. The hardcore dungeon crawler is a surprising rarity nowadays, except perhaps with some of the multiplayer spin-offs such as Dark and Darker, although their demand for competition may sit ill with some players.Regardless, if you're looking for a dungeon crawler that isn't short on action, but also not short on difficulty as you make your way through the deep and tense dungeon and strive to reach the surface, then maybe Dungeon Hiker is what you've been looking for?
And if that gives you an itch for RPGs that needs scratching, then we've got you covered! We've ranked the top RPGs available on iOS for everything from fantasy to sci-fi and beyond. Allowing you to live out your fantasies or your nightmares.
