Dumb Ways to Die celebrates 10 years with upcoming titles in the series

It's hard to believe it's already been ten years since that epic Dumb Ways to Die video brought forth train safety and awareness in an entirely new way, but here we are. The viral franchise is branching out even more with a new Netflix deal for the development of Dumb Ways to Survive, which will be a "survival-based interactive entertainment product" for mobile devices. Given the quirky nature of the IP, it's safe to say that the upcoming game will boast the same kind of humour.

PlaySide Studios Limited will also be releasing Dumb Ways to Draw 2 and Dumb Ways to Die 4 in 2023. "Initially created by Metro Trains Melbourne with the goal of making us all a bit safer, PlaySide was invited to create games based around the franchise and expand the world. In 2021, we were delighted to have acquired the full rights," says Gerry Sakkas, CEO of PlaySide Studios. "PlaySide is dedicated to treasuring the iconic Dumb Ways brand and will continue to generate new and exciting titles now and into the future."

"The newest addition to the brand is Dumb Ways to Sleep, a subscription based meditation app produced in partnership with Peaceful Kids, whose childhood mindfulness experts were consulted to help create calming content," says Ben Kelly, GM of Dumb Ways at PlaySide Studios.

You can check out the aforementioned game on the iOS App Store and on the Google Play Store for Android devices, visit the official website to know more about the series, or have a look at the embedded clip above to get a feel of the 10-year anniversary.
