A brand new and especially unique racing game is now available for Android and iOS. Titled DT Space Races, this one will see you racing against nobody but yourself and the clock in a variety of spaceships as you navigate winding mazes of alien architecture to reach the finish line.

As a smaller and more experimental indie game, DT Space Races sports only 20 different levels. What makes this count really worth the small price tag is the fact that Space Races is definitely more on the challenging side, even for typical racing game fans. This is due to the fact that it's quite the atypical game mechanically, as instead of, say, using a joystick and some buttons to drive a car, these spaceships will be piloted by tapping the surfaces that you’re going through to swing the ship left to right.

This different style of controlling a racer makes it that much more difficult to adjust to. Add in how jagged and wild these courses are, and it’s tough work to not hit the walls. Oh yeah, did I mention that if you do indeed touch any of these walls, your ship explodes? I’m sure you can see where the challenge comes in now. It’s not all bad news though, as there are 16 ships available to you, and each will have unique abilities that will help you out and keep you from, well, exploding.

DT Space Races very specifically goes out of its way to let you know that this is a hardcore experience, meant to test your reflexes at every turn. Think Thumper rather than something like Asphalt, as the arcade racing aspect is gone in favour of a more abstract and challenging experience.

If that’s exactly what you’re looking for, you can check out DT Space Races for only $1.99 on both the Play Store and the App Store as well.
