Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince sees you become the master of evil
Do the monster mash

- Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince will be coming to iOS and Android
- It hits storefronts on September 11th, letting you wield the power of Monsterkind
- It's a sort of Pokémon-esque monster collection game
Ever wanted to master evil? Ever wanted to wield the power of hordes of powerful unnatural beasts? No? Well, too bad! Because Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is coming to Steam, and more importantly, mobile. So if that doesn't tempt you to wield power in the name of evil, we don't know what will.
But in all seriousness. Despite the name, you aren't in fact playing the role of evil overlord in Dragon Quest Monsters. Instead, you'll be recruiting, training and upgrading your own army of monsters as the titular dark prince Psaro, with the aim of overthrowing your favour who holds the current title of Master of Monsterkind.
Long-time Dragon Quest fans will of course recognise the many iconic designs, first created by the now sadly departed author Akira Toriyama. And now, rather than just facing off against them you'll be able to bring these monsters to your side in battle!
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince launches for iOS and Android on September 11th!

It's not just the Pokémon-style collectible aspect either, as The Dark Prince will also feature changing seasons which alter the landscape as you explore the land of Nadira and its unique environments. As one of the first Dragon Quest Monsters games to come not only to PC but also mobile, I'm very interested to see how it holds up.
Even if seeing all these monsters gives me nasty flashbacks to playing DQ as a kid, and how my usual tactic of trying to brute-force my way through them always backfired.
