Thomas K. Young's Dadish franchise is getting a collected edition on mobile. You'll be able to snap up Dadish 1, 2 and 3 on both iOS and Android. And if you're unfamiliar with the irreverent platformers, which is a particular favourite with our editorial staff, let us clue you in.
In Dadish you play a Dad, who's also a radish. I bet you can't guess where his name comes from. But, in all seriousness, the Dadish games are as familiar and welcoming a series of throwback platformers as you can get. Don't let that deceive you, however, as while it may not be Super Meat Boy, these games are anything but easy.
You'll bounce your way through over 150 levels, fight off 15 fiendish bosses and unlock three secret characters as you fight to find your baby radishes. It may not include the hotly-anticipated Dadish 3D, but this collection is sure to suit newcomers and returning fans alike.
As I said, the Dadish games are a particular favourite of our editorial staff. And at a glance, you can see why, as this is no-nonsense platform gaming at its best, but without skimping out on the difficulty. Having all three games bundled together is also good value for money, and since they aren't exactly drastically different as a franchise, it's basically one long game for all you retro platformer fans out there.
