An all-natural adventure

Dadish is one of the more unique platformer games out there in terms of concept. No, you aren't playing as a heroic plumber or a speedy hedgehog. Instead, you are playing the role of a food item, in this case, a radish, who is also a dad (now, you understand the name).

During your epic napping session, your numerous children all wander off after seeing a balloon. You suddenly wake up, and now, your adventure begins. It's a cute game where you need to save each child on each of the levels you play.

The more you progress, the trickier things might get. The game achieved good success, which resulted in the making of a sequel for the series. Here are a few things new players should know about one of our top free games for iOS and Android (as of this writing).

Shorter Levels

Many platformers have levels that are slightly longer. This is fine, as there's absolutely nothing wrong with having some extra meat on the bone. However, if you're looking for a game with shorter-length levels, then Dadish is a solid platformer option.

If you're a mobile gamer who wants a satisfying experience, but maybe you don't have a ton of time on your hands, then you can get through a couple of Dadish levels fairly quickly. This is definitely one of the nice things about the series.

It doesn't take away from the overall depth of the game either. There are plenty of areas for you to explore and try and save your kids. In the fast-paced world that we live in, we appreciate the comfort of convenience more so now than ever, and this is one of those games that fits that mold.

Game Design

One of the pique things that stand out in the Dadish series is the art style. The colors are vibrant and set the tone for the adventure. From islands to forests to office buildings, there's a nice variety of areas between the two games, and each has its own distinct style.

And then, when you combine the colors of Dadish, his kids, and the enemies, all of which are food items, you have a unique blend. Of course, our hero and his children are radishes and then the enemies include foods like burgers, french fries, and cupcakes among others.

Things can seem kind of bland when you see the same colors over and over. But this series does a solid job of using food's unique colors to help make the games look more vivid.

Wholesome Humor

There's one small aspect about the Dadish games that make it fun for everybody. That would be how funny the games can be. It's not over the top, having your bursting into loud laughter kind of funny, but it has some parts of it that'll make you giggle for sure.

Mostly, it's the very brief conversations that you have with each of your kids. You'll have a conversation with each kid that you save. These usually are pretty funny and cute. Your kids sometimes will poke fun at you as most kids in real life will do to their fathers.

It always feels like an accomplishment when you beat a level and save a kid (and collect a star), but seeing those little conversations makes beating the levels that much more fun. Again, this is a small thing, but it helps bring these adorable characters to life in a wholesome and relatable way.
