The merge market is one that is undoubtedly oversaturated. But for good reason, because there's hardly any genre that's at once as approachable, yet engaging and tricky as merge puzzlers. Little surprise then that Innogames are at it again with their newest release.

Cozy Coast is, as you might expect, set in a seaside town. And if you're familiar with the merge genre, you probably already know what to expect by now. A rundown seaside resort needs your help, and the only way to rebuild it is by completing merge puzzles as you slowly renovate the seaside promenade.

Along the way, you'll meet a cast of quirky characters while you unwind in a Mediterranean setting, each with their own story and past. Each of which might just tie in to secret places hidden across the island and the enigmatic corporation that has questionable intentions for this sunny paradise.

Mamma Mia, here I go again

Cozy Coast certainly has an interesting concept and setting, but it's a shame that the release is riddled with clear examples of AI artwork and assets. Hopefully, when fans are able to get their hands on it properly, they'll see something of a more original look about it.

Still, if there's one thing that's obviously not artificial, it's the merge gameplay. And if you're a fan of Innogames' previous efforts in the genre, then you're almost certainly going to have fun with Cozy Coast. It's set to launch later this year on iOS and Android!
