In case you missed it, Backpack Games has announced the official launch of Clean the Sea! on iOS devices. Featuring colourful environments and a vibrant art style, the game lets you do your part in cleaning up garbage from the pristine waters of the ocean in a fun and unique way.

In Clean the Sea!, players go on an in-game world tour on their ship to clear away all the muck and grime in the ocean. Of course, one man's trash is another man's treasure, so you can sell all the junk you scoop up and have them recycled. Thanks to your efforts, you'll soon witness the glorious return of dolphins and turtles to Costa Rica, making what was once home to ocean critters a new haven.

Cash that you earn from recycling can help you upgrade your boat to keep it as efficient as possible. The more upgrades you buy, the more garbage you can collect, and the faster you can help save the seas. You can also take part in exciting mini-games to earn extra cash.

The game aims to raise awareness of how humans are polluting the seas and what we can do to help - every little bit counts, after all. The developers have also expressed plans to reach out to ocean cleanup organisations and influencers as well.

If you're keen on giving the game a go, or you're thinking of a great little way to do your part in saving the seas, you can download Clean the Sea! on the iOS App Store. It's a free-to-play game with ads.
