Cat Town Valley tips

Idle sims can get a little bit bland after a while, but when it is as adorable as Cat Town Valley, you really can't complain. Below, you'll find a few useful tips that should help you grow your little cat town into a thriving community.
This guide will go over some of the things that you should be doing to maximise your resource gain, but also some little tips I've discovered while playing. Of course, we all know the goal is to quickly upgrade your buildings and increase the amount of resources gained, but the only way to do that is by spending the resources wisely.
It's quite a conundrum, I would say.
You can resort to investing in some of the most profitable resource farming tools!
Most of the time, some of the most profitable tools are your cards (that grant you passive income or boost additional income), so you should try upgrading these whenever possible. Also, make sure you always deploy all the workers you can. You can track your working cats on the top right side of the screen, and that's where you can actually see which cats are working and which ones are slacking off.. erm...playing.
Always deploy the maximum number of workers whenever you can.
About the Gems
Another important little feature you should pay attention to, given it's an idle game, is the offline hours you can benefit from. The standard time can be increased by 2 hours if you manage to save up 400 Gems and purchase the "Increase Town Offline Hours by 2 Hours" pack from the Shop. I strongly recommend you save up for it, since it's going to have quite a big impact on your income. If you're someone who loves cat games, make sure to check the latest Cat Fantasy codes for something similar!
So, now that you have a clearer idea of what you should be doing and what you should be avoiding, let's dive into some more useful Cat Town Valley tips!
1
Tip #1 - Watch ads to multiply your resources

In Cat Town Valley, you can multiply the rewards you get by simply watching ads. This is going to sound a little boring, but if you want to be a F2P player, ads will be a little bit of a go-to. Think of it as an insurance blanket. The more resources you collect, the more upgrades you'll be able to have.
If you don't want to watch ads for absolutely everything, just watch for the resources that you need the most. You don't even have to watch all the time - just until you have enough resources to make the upgrades you want.
Look around the map, and make sure you collect the resources from the balloon (which don't always require you to watch an ad to collect), from the chests scattered around the village, and even from the cats sitting around the fields (those with TV icons above their heads) so they can help you collect more resources.

Tip #2 - Collect from the Tree of Abundance

The Tree of Abundance will let you shake down a starfruit that can turn into resources or upgrades for your buildings. It is super useful. Considering one fruit refills every 30 minutes, you need to collect the fruits every day when they've reached the maximum number (8).
When the tree drops resources, it will give you an option to watch an ad and collect 4x the reward you'd otherwise get. You can still pick the regular reward, but if you collect it multiplied, it's even better. If you don't like watching ads in general, at least take them into consideration when picking the fruit because they will add up.

Tip #3 - Upgrade your buildings!

As you keep your worker kitties busy working the fields or chopping down trees, you'll also notice more and more resources stocking up. My recommendation is: always upgrade your buildings slowly, so that one feature will not overpower another. For instance, when it comes to the Farm, you don't want to have an output that outranks the transportation.
Think about upgrading everything, but do it in such a way that the text you see on top of the building is green. A green text will mean the building's production/transportation is well-balanced.
Don't forget about the worker cat houses!
Worker cats have to live somewhere, and as you keep increasing your production, you'll be able to hire more workers. Sometimes you will have to upgrade the houses to keep up with the demand, so make sure you have enough resources for a few house upgrades.
