Cassette Beasts is finally coming to mobile with an exact date, letting you transform into creatures using retro tapes
  • Collect cassette tapes and transform into beasts
  • Acquire monster abilities to explore the world
  • Merge creatures to make cooler creatures

Raw Fury has announced the upcoming launch of Cassette Beasts on mobile - and yes, it's sooner than you might think. Despite previous delays, this quirky mix of monster-collecting and merge elements is finally landing on iOS and Android tomorrow - that's just a few more hours away until you can complete your cassette collection that somehow turns you into beasts just because.

For the younger ones who aren't aware, cassettes used to be all the rage when it came to music, so combining the nostalgia of these retro icons with classic Pokemon mechanics (and pixel-art visuals to boot) is instantly appealing to me. The same is true, apparently, with plenty of other players out there given the Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam.

Now, we can finally get our hands on this gem on mobile, so it's time to brush up on those merging skills so you can fuse cool monsters into even cooler monsters across this turn-based RPG.

Your monster abilities aren't limited to combat modes, either - you can fly, glide, and swim your way across the open world and solve puzzles to escape tricky dungeons too.

Does all that sound fab to you? If you're on the hunt for more role-playing adventures, why not take a look at our list of the best RPGs on Android to get your fill?

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Cassette Beasts on the App Store or on Google Play. It's free-to-play with in-app purchases.
