  • Whitethorn is set to brings its various top releases to mobile
  • At least via the Blacknut streaming platform!
  • Now, fans can try out everything from Calico to Aground starting July 25th

Whitethorn Games, the publisher behind a variety of releases such as Lake, Calico and Wytchwood, is now set to bring their expansive catalogue to a brand-new platform. Blacknut already hosts more than 500 games, a number that will swell with Whitethorn's own releases and be available for streaming in over 65 countries.

As for what'll be appearing on Blacknut from Whitethorn's existing catalogue, some of Whitethorn's bigger efforts like Lake will appear in the coming weeks, but starting July 25th, if you're a user of Blacknut, you'll be able to play:

  • Magical Delicacy - Cook up a storm in a delicately crafted pixel world, as you explore a magical island and meet its various inhabitants.
  • Aground - Survive on an alien planet as one of a handful of human survivors. Go from slicing up things with swords to creating your own spaceship and escaping the planet.
  • Apico - Enjoy an ultra-relaxing experience where you keep and breed bees. Gather honey and discover new types of bees as you grow your orchard.
  • Beans: The Coffee Shop Simulator - Start your own minimalist coffee shop, hire and fire employees and customise the interior of your beanery.
  • Calico - Create the cat cafe of your dreams and explore a floral island of different animals and creatures.

While cloud gaming and streaming has had something of an up-and-down process in the last few months, I think that it's good to see something like Blacknut make more of a mark. Being able to play various releases via streaming opens up the field to non-traditional mobile releases and means that more people will get to experience Whitethorn's catalogue.

And if you're looking to find other great new releases, but don't know where to start, why not check out our list of the top five new mobile games to try this week? Featuring the best launches from the last seven days in a huge variety of genres.
