Blackbeard's Assault sets sail on the iPhone
Cannons to the fore, ya dogs!
Warhorse Games has had a Flash version of this unique Bejeweled-inspired game on its website for some time, and we're delighted to see an adaptation for the iPhone has just been released for the App Store.
Rather than the typical grid-based layout of most match-three games, Blackbeard's Assault runs a line of coloured balls around a winding path for you to shoot at. Firing a coloured ball into the line to make a row of three or more eliminates that group, and your objective is to prevent the queue from reaching the end of the line using Blackbeard's two canons.
Swing by the official site to have a go at the Flash game and take a look at the video below to get a taste of what Blackbeard's Assault offers – just try not to get too addicted and lose the day to coloured cannon balls (easier said than done).
