Battle Sky soars onto the iPhone
You can never have too many flight sims

We were chatting just yesterday about the increasing number of flight sims on the iPhone, and right on cue, Nicoteam sent us some info on its new iPhone game, Battle Sky.
Enabling you to fly five different aircraft using the accelerometer controls, Battle Sky allows quite a lot of freedom in its gameplay. You can, if so inclined, simply go joy rising – exploring the randomly generated terrain at your luxury.
When you’re in the mood for a bit more action, however, you can show off your aerial skills with the hedge-hopping mode (flying as low as possible across the landscape), you can hunt down targets across the environment or you can take to the skies to protect your radar station against attacking bombers.
The selection of aircrafts is quite reminiscent of those polystyrene planes you used to buy in a packet, with a plastic propeller on the front – which is a huge nostalgic plus point, as far as this ageing writer is concerned.
Anyway, check out the gameplay video below, then click the ‘Buy It!’ button to fly over to the App Store for a closer look.
