Mega popular gacha strategy game Azur Lane has revealed some of the details for the return of the collaboration with the popular Japanese browser game Dead or Alive Extreme Venus Vacation, planned to launch on April 27th. Having originally run all the way back in 2017 for Japanese gamers, this rerun doesn’t introduce anything new compared to the previous run, but still brings all the fun content and cosmetics as it did before.

Azur Lane is one of the most recognisable names in the gacha market, up there with legends like Arknights or Genshin Impact. With a quasi-idle style of gameplay that involves sending teams of anime girls modelled after real-world naval vessels on strategic combat missions, the game built up a very large fanbase that has not wavered much at all since it launched.

With that sort of fame in mind, it’s interesting to see Azur Lane team back up with what is a relatively lesser-known browser-based spinoff of the classic Dead or Alive fighting game series: Dead or Alive Extreme Venus Vacation. This browser game mostly consists of collecting a variety of pretty female characters to dress up and take care of on their beach vacation, each from the Dead or Alive franchise.

Regardless, collaborate the two have, and with this being a rerun, those of you that experienced the last crossover between them will know what you’re in for as nothing has changed. The same Dead or Alive characters will be available from the event banner as well as drops from the event maps, and the same furniture will be up for purchase as well as the event missions remaining the same too. For a deeper look at what all the event offers, check out this page on the Azur Lane wiki.

The rerunning of content with no new additions doesn’t make for particularly exciting news, but it is nice to see the chance to grab all of these event-specific characters and cosmetics for players who may have missed out all those years ago. If you’re one of them, give Azur Lane a go for free at the link below and don’t miss your chance again!
