Avatar Legends: Realms Collide celebrates first anniversary with Traces of Memory event

A 10-day event, alliance goals, and a lighter minigame

Avatar Legends: Realms Collide celebrates first anniversary with Traces of Memory event
  • Traces of Memory event runs for 10 days with missions and alliance rewards
  • Secret Tunnel minigame adds a board-style side mode with leaderboards
  • Login rewards and cosmetics mark the first anniversary

It's a long weekend in the UK, and Avatar Legends: Realms Collide is apparently here to make sure you don't spend all of it outside. One year old and already walking away with our Pocket Gamer Award for Best Strategy, the anniversary update is live now on iOS and Android, and there's genuinely quite a bit to dig into.

The headline is Traces of Memory, a 10-day anniversary event built around individual missions and alliance-wide goals running in parallel. Work through challenges, earn event currency, and trade it in for limited cosmetics, portrait frames, Town Hall skins, and commemorative items that exist purely to remind everyone you were here for year one.

There's also a 7-day login track sitting alongside it, handing out milestone bonuses just for showing up during the celebration window. Alliance play gets a bit more purpose here too. The shared progression element means your guild's activity actually feeds into what you can unlock, which gives the social side a bit more weight during the event window.

The more interesting addition is the Secret Tunnel minigame, which takes one of the more beloved moments from the Avatar series and turns it into something replayable. It's a board-style layout – roll through tiles, trigger events, collect rewards, climb a leaderboard.

Light enough that it doesn't demand much, different enough from the usual city-building loop that it gives you a reason to come back between the heavier sessions. In a genre that can get pretty rigid, a side mode that doesn't take itself too seriously is a welcome thing.

Year one for Avatar Legends: Realms Collide seems to have gone pretty well. Year two has a decent bar to clear.

But first, grab the latest Avatar Legends codes to get your hands on some freebies before you start working through the event rewards.
