Asterix and Friends is a remastered version of the popular title based on the comics, out now on mobile and PC

Asterix and Friends, gameXcite's popular builder game, is getting a remastered version that's out now on iOS, Android and on PC. The German game development studio's free-to-play cross-platform title has upgraded its old-school Flash game into a fresh experience powered by Unity, with a bunch of new in-game content apart from the updated visuals.

In particular, Asterix and Friends adds a female villager, new questlines, Journeys and more. Players can pay a visit to Corsica, Spain and Britain, plus engage in some hilarious narratives inspired by the locations and lore of the comics. The game also boasts a collab with license holder Les Éditions Albert René in crafting Gardenia, the wife of the village’s blacksmith.

The questlines themselves are divided into five stages, each with nine thrilling chapters. Clearing each chapter unlocks the next one, and your reputation levels will also come into play with the local faction. You'll have to plan out the best mix of character traits, villages, equipment and so on to ace your missions. Currencies earned lets you beautify your village with exclusive goodies from the faction shops.

If you're eager to build your own Gaulish village and embark on new adventures with Asterix and Obelix (you can also join guilds with other players to fend off the Romans), Asterix and Friends is now available to download on the Google Play Store for Android devices and on the iOS App Store. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
