Slay the Spire, the popular roguelike deck-builder, is heading for Android next month

Since the iOS release of Slay the Spire last June, Android players have been waiting for news on when they'll be able to play the seminal roguelike deck-builder on their format of choice. Publisher Humble Games revealed yesterday that they won't have to wait much longer, with Slay the Spire set to release for Android on February 3rd.

If you're unfamiliar, Slay the Spire is a roguelike deck-builder that was initially released for PC in 2019, following a stint in Early Access since 2017. It has since become a highly influential game within the deck-building roguelike sub-genre, with a plethora of similar titles being created in its wake.

It sees you working your way through the titular Spire, battling against numerous monsters by playing cards. The further you progress into each run, the more cards you'll add to your deck. Every now and then you'll be given a choice of cards to add to your roster and it's important to look for synergies to create devastating combos.

In addition to collecting cards, there will also be powerful Relics to gather on your journey. These can further buff the power of your current deck through additional interactions, though some relics cost more than mere gold to acquire. Once again though, your choice of Relic will be influenced by the cards in your deck on that particular run.

Slay the Spire will soon be available over on Google Play whilst you can get from the App Store right now. It's a premium title that costs $9.99.
