Rip Them Off is a satirical puzzler about overwhelming corporate greed

Swim Out developer Lozange Lab has just announced that its latest game, the stylish Rip Them Off, is heading straight for an iOS launch on September 24th. It's an interesting blend of management and tower defence elements where you'll work to please your corporate overlords by lining the game's city streets with well-placed stores.

The idea is to create an "interlocking maze" of inescapable stores, keeping the consumer traffic flowing and profits rising. Once you've got what you need, you can ditch your properties and move on the next opportunity.

Each new area introduces fresh challenges and an increasing level of difficulty, with your goal being to move up the corporate ladder by any means necessary. In order to achieve this, you'll have to learn to control the flow of time and think on your feet, making sure that your plans unfold with total efficiency. Knowing which stores to buy and at what price is also imperative to your long-term success.

Beyond the interesting mix of genres, it's the game's striking sense of style that really makes it stand out. It's clearly inspired by 1950s artwork, with its smooth soundtrack also pulling from that era.

I'm definitely interested to see whether Lozange Lab can breathe new life into the tower defence genre, and the overall package looks sleek and distinct.
