Man Vs Missiles: Combat receives its first major update since release

Originally released back in August, Man Vs Missiles has received its first substantial update which brings a whole host of new content to the game.

First up there are four new planes available, each with their own different stats that slightly affect the way you play. Two of these new planes are only available if you are a VIP, which costs a hefty £9.49 a month, so I don't blame you if you're giving that a miss.

On top of that, you'll also have a new purple missile to use in combat. This new missile is incredibly powerful and packs a big punch too. If you've played the game before you'll know it from enemy helicopters who occasionally launch them in your direction.

There's also a new enemy you'll have to contend with. This new aerial opponent is called the UFO Jet. This new aircraft has the ability to shoot in any direction so it should it keep you own your toes at all times and potentially make things very tricky if there is more than one of them attacking you.

Finally, the game has also received a Dark Mode, which you can see in the trailer above. This new mode was in the previous Man Vs Missiles game so it's returning by popular demand. The Dark Mode theme will be set automatically based on your iOS settings.

If you're unfamiliar with Man Vs Missiles, it's a dogfighting game from a top-down perspective. You fly a plane of your choice from a varied selected and have to fend off several waves of enemy aircraft. There are different power-ups you can collect to help you out along the way too.

Man Vs Missiles: Combat is available through the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
