Yes, we've been playing Fortnite and- no, wait, that's not right.

That's right, we've been playing PUBG Mobile- no, no, still wrong…

Ah, now I remember. We've been playing Brawl Stars, and more specifically, the Showdown game mode, which plays out a lot like a quickfire battle royale.

It's a lot of fun, and either by yourself or with a friend, the following tips are guaranteed to help you overcome your enemies and survive to the end.

Get that victory chicken royale with cheese.

1
Battle royale

The Showdown mode essentially acts as a battle royale - 10 players get dropped into an arena, only one player (or duo) will win.

Just like a battle royale game, you'll slowly get pushed towards the centre, and you can pick up supplies to help you on your way.

Of course, things play out much more quickly here than in any other battle royale experience, and these tips can help guarantee victory.

2
Powering up

There's multiple chests laying around the arena, which you can break open to get items to increase your power.

This will obviously be good for doing damage to enemies, only these chests require you to do damage to them to open them up.

This means you'll be unloading ammo, which you could be low on if an enemy shows up at the time. On top of that, taking out enemies will force them to drop their power ups, so go after them.

Choke me

As you play a green miasma will squeeze in, pushing you towards the centre. This fog does massive damage if you get stuck in it.

Not getting stuck is important of course, but also this means you can push low health enemies into it, or corner them with it, to finish them off.

Just make sure not to get stuck behind an obstacle if it gets close, though sticking to the edges of it might help ensure you survive until the end.

4
The ambush

There's loads of tall grass in the arena, and hiding in it will make all the difference. Stay still for a long period of time and you can heal up, in addition to ambushing enemies.

Low health enemies or those completely unaware will be particularly susceptible to this, and if you're in a duo, it's even better, as one of you can act as a distraction.

Also remember to use the arena in general, hiding behind walls to avoid bullets. This is particularly helpful if you're a heavier, higher health character which does large amounts of damage.
