Boy Genius Report has heard from a high-level AT&T source that one of the carrier's vice presidents has informed several employees that the iPhone 5 will drop in early October.

Furthermore, the VP is said to have told a group of managers to, “Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly.”
