Tesco to sell iPhone by Christmas
Vodafone moved off the podium
According to BBC News, the iPhone may be sold by Tesco Mobile in time for Christmas, putting Tesco ahead of Vodafone in the iPhone selling race after O2 and Orange.
This would seem like great news for consumers, as Tesco is notorious for its loss leading. The retail giant is likely to aim for the large number of people hungry to own Apple's smartphone but not so hungry to pay the current price for the privilege.
No tariff pricing has been announced yet.
Tesco Mobile actually 'piggy backs' from O2's own network, which may allow a certain level of control for the UK's largest network. Either way O2, will generate revenue from Tesco Mobile iPhone sales.
More news as we get it.
