It's the Develop Conference today in Brighton, and Pocket Gamer's own Stuart Dredge has been invited down to the take in the sea air and deliver a presentation on mobile and iPhone gaming.

Given that Stu knows more than Q when it comes to mobile gaming, he's put together a list of over 50 top ideas for making good mobile games into great mobile games.

On Stu's list are features such as integrating your address book into a title like Dr. Awesome so you can slice and dice your mates, or turning photos into opponents for you to box in Ready 2 Rumble.

Indeed, many of the best ideas seem to be those that borrow from other areas of your portable pal, such as utilising your MP3 playlists in Audiosurf and Dance Fabulous, or putting Google maps to use in Underworld.

But most importantly Stu's presentation is an inspiration encyclopaedia for the struggling game developer. Stuck for an idea or a feature? Go here and nick one of Stu's. He won't mind.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
