Confirms what we knew already
It’s the day iPhone fans have been waiting for all year. The shiny new iPhone 3G S is out today and, in time-honoured geeky fashion, someone’s already taken a crowbar to it to see what makes it tick.
After all the wanton destruction of shiny black plastic and even shinier metal, it turns out that the new handset sports a processor that’s about 1.5 times quicker than the iPhone 3G and contains double the RAM. Which we already knew about. Oh.
Still, for those who know their ARM v7s from their ARM v11s, there are some interesting tech specs - as well as the innards themselves - to be ogled over on IntoMobile.
For those who throw a fit whenever their precious iPhone picks up a fresh smudge… well, best not look.
