Three new non-mobile games for publisher

Gameloft's expansion onto non-mobile games platforms continues apace - and why shouldn't it, given the news that its WiiWare game TV Show King has generated more than €1.2 million of revenues?

It's no surprise to see that title getting a sequel. However, what's interesting is that TV Show King Party is a boxed Wii game, rather than a downloadable WiiWare title.

Due out in November, it'll feature more multiplayer trivia quizzing, and will cost $29.99 in the US.

Meanwhile, the publisher has also announced plans to launch two more DS games: Guitar Rock Tour and Real Soccer 2009. Both are also due out in November, with the former due to feature licensed tracks including Beat It, Message In A Bottle, Girlfriend and Rock You like a Hurricane.

The game will be in direct competition with the recently-released Guitar Hero: On Tour on DS.

It remains to be seen what that game's publisher Activision will make of the name of Gameloft's game. Guitar Rock Tour was originally called Guitar Legend on mobile, but its name was changed after a rumoured intervention by Guitar Hero mobile licensee Hands-On.
