Has Gameloft made over €1.2m from a single WiiWare game?

Just how lucrative has Gameloft's move into console publishing been? Well, according to the VG Chartz website, which tracks sales across various platforms, it's been VERY lucrative.

The site's latest weekly report of WiiWare sales estimates that Gameloft's TV Show King game has sold 127,600 copies so far. What's more, it reckons this equates to more than €1.2 million of revenues.

To put that in context, it's more downloads than Square Enix's Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King, which is below TV Show King in the weekly sales chart.

The interesting thing is that TV Show King is so far only available on WiiWare. So, besides generating valuable revenues in its own right, it gives Gameloft a base to take the franchise back to mobile and other platforms.

The figures will encourage those mobile game publishers considering taking their IP to platforms like WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade, too.
