404 Game Reset begins their first ever major in-game event, this one themed around the classic fighting game series Virtua Fighter
The recently released top-down shoot-em-up gacha 404 Game Reset, which is currently only available for Japanese audiences, has released its first major event alongside its first new character too. This new event features some limited-time stages that will award the player with event-specific currency which is tradable for different rewards, as well as a new character loosely based on SEGA’s Virtua Fighter series.
In case you aren’t familiar, 404 Game Reset sees you developing a team of characters, each based on different SEGA properties, as you blast your way through different bullet hell stages in an effort to take down the mega-corporation SEGA in the game’s world. Yes, that’s right - your true enemy in this game’s story is the developer of the game itself. Talk about meta.
You wouldn’t be mistaken for not quite seeing all the characters referencing these games, as their designs aren’t super up-front about it. Still, if you dig into their outfits and accessories enough, you can see some hints about who each one is supposed to be. And now, fans of the age-old fighting game series Virtua Fighter will be pleased to see their favourite game being repped too!???????????? ??????3 ?????????(????)?

This new event features quite a few difficult event stages which will offer up specific currency, which can then be used to exchange for different rewards such as character shards, upgrade materials, and premium currency too. If you manage to beat every event quest up for grabs, you’ll gain access to this new character: Virtua Fighter Cathode.
This event will run from April 28th to May 19th, so there’s plenty of time to make sure you beat every stage. Still, plenty of time doesn’t mean unlimited time, so you'd best download 404 Game Reset for free at either of the links below and get to grinding!
