Zenless Zone Zero is embracing the heat with its upcoming version 2.1 update
It’s vacation time

Version 2.0 was an absolute cracker, but just like the heat, Zenless Zone Zero isn’t cooling off yet. Version 2.1, The Impending Crash of Waves, arrives soon, bringing a full-on summer escape to Sailume Bay and the once-thriving Fantasy Resort. HoYoverse is doubling down on sun, sea, and story with aquatic minigames, new allies, and a whole load of mysteries that are hiding beneath the waves.
Zenless Zone Zero’s main storyline continues in season two chapter two, where tensions rise as Porcelumex investigates the chaos unleashed by the Exaltists. Alice Thymefield, a refined new face with sharp swordplay and noble roots, steps in alongside the cunning Yuzuha, who fights with help from her candy-bomb-lobbing tanuki companion.
Both join the Spook Shack roster as S-Rank Agents, with builds that lean heavily into Physical Anomaly synergy and powerful combo setups. Yuzuha and her Kama companion attack enemies it candy bombs, while Thymefield prefers dealing with foes by slashing right through them. But beyond the faction drama, it’s summer vacation time. At the Fantasy Resort, you’ll partner with Spook Shack to breathe new life into the fading seaside getaway. Take a break from combat to go surfing, cruise around on yachts, or cast a line at upgraded fishing spots that have been reworked to reduce grind and increase variety.
There’s even a little something for Bangboo fans too called En-Nah Chess Legend, which adds a full auto-battler mode complete with PvP, while the Simulated Battle Trial gets a scoring overhaul to reward real tactical skill.
Finally, if you’re just here for the summer vibes, new outfits for Alice, Yuzuha, and the protagonists are on the way, alongside returning banners for fan favourites like Miyabi and Yanagi.
