Surreal adventure-puzzler Yellow House came out on iOS back in October, but it's certainly worth bringing some attention to.

On one hand, its plot is as generic as it gets: man neglects his health, becomes a jobless alcoholic layabout, and loses his memory.

Push that aside, though, and you're treated to some wonderful, twisted art work to interact with.

Each stage is a single screen flashback that has been distorted by the mind of Henry Sykes, our degenerate protagonist.

His cat looks like a demon, there's an evil spirit in the wallpaper, and the coat hook has been turned into a shady-looking man.

You have to restore the scene to its normal state. You do this by selecting objects and, using gestures, swapping or changing or combining them.

It can lead to some surprising results. I swapped a nail for a mask on a man's face once, which led to the nail being jammed into his forehead, blood pouring into his eyebrows. It was an accident.

Once you've restored a scene, you'll be led along the unusual flashbacks of Sykes once again with more eye-catching art. Again, the plot isn't so original, but it's easily dismissed.

You can purchase Yellow House for 69p / 99c on the App Store.
