Worms WMD: Mobilize is a mobile port of the classic 2016 game, out now for Android and iOS
Team17’s superhit franchise, Worms, a series of artillery tactical games has been out for nearly three decades now. Players on all major platforms have been entertained by its cartoony animation and slapstick humour since way back in 1995. In 2016, the developers released Worms WMD on PC and consoles, and that game has finally made its way to Android and iOS.
Worms WMD: Mobilize is a remaster of the hit 2016 turn-based action strategy game. When WMD was originally released, it was like a breath of fresh air for the franchise as it shook things up with loads of new functionalities. The game saw the addition of vehicles like tanks, mobile armoured walkers, and helicopters which dominated the battlefield.
Of course, it still stuck to its roots by bringing back the franchise’s iconic weapons and items like the ninja rope. All of this can be enjoyed by mobile gamers at 60fps. Players will find all the vehicles from the OG version, 50 weapons, and a single-player campaign featuring 10 training missions and 20 story quests. Three additional objectives for these missions will ensure repeat play as well.
Worms WMD: Mobilize goes heavy on customization too, as players will have over 100 hats, 40 unique sound banks, 15 victory dances, and more than 30 gravestones to choose from. The game is playable both online and through local multiplayer, with two teams in the former and four in the latter. Gameplay is possible through the on-screen controls and also via a controller.
