Riot announces its first official esports tournament, Wild Rift Origin Series, for Europe and MENA

Riot has announced the inaugural esports tournament for League of Legends: Wild Rift: Origin Series for Europe and MENA. After witnessing the SEA Icon Series of Wild Rift, players can now taste the competitive scene in the newly announced regions.

The series has a €300,000 prize pool and the registrations have already started and will run until the 1st of June. The players who have successfully registered before the deadline will face off against other teams in the first-month qualifier.

Before heading to pre-register yourself, make sure you are above the age of 17 and your team must have at least three members living in Europe, CIS, Turkey, the Middle East, or North Africa.

The first round of the Open Qualifiers Weekend will start from 5th-6th June, followed by the second phase that will run from 12th-13th June. And finally, the Qualifier Playoffs take place from 21st-24th June. Further details on the other stages will be released in the coming days. If you belong to one of the eligible regions for the tournament, you can head to the link and register your interest in participating.

League of Legends Wild Rift is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
