War of GAMA, an upcoming MMORPG with idle mechanics, is launching later this month
Catheon Gaming and Gamamobi have just announced that their upcoming title, War of GAMA is set to hit the virtual shelves of Android and iOS very soon. The MMORPG combines classical aspects of gameplay with intense battles and a unique offline idle system. Pre-registrations are currently open on both platforms and the game is set for a global release sometime in April itself.
MMORPGs can be quite a grind as players have to put in an effort trying to gain experience points and items and levelling their characters up by doing multiple quests that follow a cookie-cutter approach. War of GAMA hopes to change this traditional style of gameplay with their offline idle system.
It reduces the grind required for levelling up and replaces it with 6-12 hours of offline idle gameplay. Players needn’t be online throughout the day as their character will keep gaining experience and equipment even when the game isn’t being played. Hopefully, this is taken up by more games so that things are a little easier.
War of GAMA further enhances gameplay with a transformation system using Morph Cards. They are capable of changing the appearance, increasing attack speed, and combat power of characters. If that wasn’t enough, the cards’ power can be further boosted (maybe even above 9000) by enchanting them into Curse Morph Cards.
This Curse system is like a power-up for Morph cards, summoned spirits, and equipment. It adds 3-5 random bonus attributes, making the cards really strong. Cards can be obtained through the draw system, buying gift packages, spending coins, or daily card draws. The Curse Morph cards can also be traded with other players for high values.
