If you think about it, football is very strange. Why do so many people have such a deep interest in something that has the capacity to make them so upset? Why, given the choice, would anybody attend an event when there's a good chance they they'll stumble away 90 minutes later in tears?

And why, more to the point, would anybody go to an event where there are people with vuvuzelas?

You may never have heard of one, but you've almost certainly heard one. A vuvuzela is a plastic horn used by sports enthusiasts at stadia to let everybody know how they feel about what's happening on the pitch.

Jadestone Games has just released a game called Vuvuzela Whacker, and, inevitably, it's about hitting vuvuzela players on the head, Whac-a-Mole-style. The aim is to hit has many as you can within a time limit, earning multipliers, avoiding people without vuvuzelas, and publishing your scores on Facebook.

Vuvuzela Whacker is on the App Store now, and it costs 59p / 99c.
