Yesterday, we told you that French publisher Gameloft was gearing up to launch a third Grand Theft Auto-esque iPhone and iPad franchise.

Well, today, Urban Crime has arrived on the New Zealand App Store, which means it'll be available in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

If you didn't see / read yesterday's article, Urban Crime is a free-to-play title that sees you attempt to eradicate rival gang members, rise up the ranks, and rule the mean streets of Miami with an iron fist (and an Uzi).

Gameloft's latest crime-packed title features a free-roaming 3D world, but there are also an "endless variety of missions" to complete, which range from stealing cars to killing specific targets.

Urban Crime will be available in the UK and US App Store as a free Universal app from around midnight tonight, so go and give it a go.
