Turmoil, a tycoon sim that turns you into an oil baron launches on Android and iOS

LT Games has announced the launch of their new casual oil drilling tycoon sim Turmoil on iOS and Android. Based on the 19th century North American oil rush, Turmoil sees players become an oil entrepreneur and mayor where they'll build their empire from the ground up while also facing off against rivals and other obstacles.

Your journey to becoming an oil baron begins with purchasing an oil-laden piece of land at the town auction. Then, you bring all the dowsers, moles, and scans and uncover all the oil. Bringing it up to the surface will require a smart and well-placed network of pipes which will be transported by wagons and stored in silos. All that’s left is to sell it. Now, you could wait for the perfect selling price or raise the price yourself by using natural gas.

Further increasing the profits will require upgrades like new drilling tools and technologies that will make it easier to pierce through rocks, efficient processing to minimize oil spillage and techniques that will take advantage of natural gas pockets. For some under the table profits, head over to the saloon where you can engage in some shady but advantageous deals.

Turmoil will also feature a brand new campaign that adds some challenges and twists to the classic oil drilling action. Drilling too much can be risky because of magma that can be encountered, but there is also greater reward like artefacts that can be traded for cash. Another quick way of earning money is playing cards and testing your luck at the saloon.

Oil drilling will be done over multiple different levels with randomly generated settings. You can play solo or even challenge your friends to see who the biggest oil tycoon is. A key aspect of Turmoil is to know that drilling oil isn’t the only goal. A successful oil tycoon is one who drills oil, uses the cash to outbid rivals at the stock auction, and also becomes the mayor to win the game.
