Take a peek behind the curtain

- Embark on a fantasy adventure with 2D and 3D elements
- Multiplayer content to be released in the future
Pocket Play Studio has released a series of blog posts to hype us up for the release of Toria, the studio's fantasy RPG that's launching sometime this summer. We got a glimpse of the world and its mechanics in May, but this time, you can dive into more in-depth knowledge about how the project is going and the minds behind it from the dev series on the official website.
In Toria, you'll embark on an epic fantasy quest filled with classic elements but with refreshing twists. For one thing, it's a combination of 2D side-scrolling perspectives and 3D battles, with movement based on a chess-like map and plenty of randomised elements that go with it.
Interestingly enough, you can even go on hunts with your bow in the forest, or explore the town with your ragtag group of heroes (there's even a bartender hero in there, which is always cool).

It definitely feels like a huge undertaking, especially given its PvP content as well, with different matchmaking rules and rewards. There's a massive Guild system that's in the works for future launch too, with joint raids you can get your hands on for good measure.
If all that sounds like your cup of tea, why not take a look at our list of the best RPGs on Android to get your fill of something similar?
In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Toria along with the community of followers on the official Facebook page to stay updated on all the latest developments.
