Then there's the Mentors. Alan Shearer, Claude Makélélé, Nemanja Vidic and Cesc Fàbregas are the first Legendary Mentors the game's had in sixteen years, and between them that's a fair chunk of Premier League history walking into your dugout.
Shearer for finishing, Makélélé for ball-winning, Vidic anchoring the back line, and Fàbregas pulling the strings in midfield. It's a fairly well-chosen set. Fàbregas isn't just lending his name to a Mentor slot either. He's now Top Eleven's official brand ambassador, which is a bigger commitment than the usual one-off cameo deal these tie-ins tend to go for. Whether he's got a say in team selection is a different question entirely.
